Fun Days
Upton Fun Days is Upton’s largest local event of the year, with a variety of activities and events throughout the weekend. The annual celebration is held every third weekend in July, with three days filled with fun and memories for the whole family.
Hosted by the Upton Chamber of Commerce, the event hosts a parade, junior rodeo, free BBQ, concerts, cornhole tournament, the Joe Haynes Memorial Golf Tournament at Cedar Pines, and different events each year. With so many things to expect during Upton Fun Days, this is a weekend that you will not want to miss! Friday-July 19th: Ranch Rodeo Calcutta at Upton Arena at 5 pm. The rodeo begins at 5:30 pm. Cool Cats Ice-cream Truck will be available at the Upton area from 4 pm-6 pm. Upton FFA will be running concessions from 5 pm-10 pm. Beer Garden available from 5 pm-10 pm. Free concert performance by Justin Baxter beginning at 8 pm. Captain Pancake Band will be performing at Sunset Amigos from 8 pm-midnight.

Saturday- July 20th: Pancake and mimosa breakfast at Sunset Amigos 7:30 am- 10 am. Line up for the parade at Upton High School at 9 am. Upton Methodist Ladies bake sale by FirsTier Bank at 9 am- 11 am. The parade will begin at 10 am. The theme is “A New Era; Honoring our Past; Embracing our Future”. UHS “Walk down memory lane” open house at the high school from 12 pm- 4 pm. Rodeo queen and princess/ Junior rodeo at Upton Arena, please sign up at the parade, the rodeo will begin at noon. Upton Volunteer Fire Department hosting the cornhole and pickleball tournament directly after the parade at the Upton city park/ basketball court. Knife throwing and blacksmithing demonstration at Old Town beginning at noon. Free swimming at Upton Pool from 1 pm- 5 pm. Fun on the Go will be at Upton City Park from 1 pm- 5 pm. Free BBQ at Upton City Park beginning at 6 pm sponsored by Black Hills Energy, Powder River Energy, Arch Resources, 307 Express & Range. The Captain Pancake Band performing at Sunset Amigos at 8 pm. Karaoke at Cowboy Bar at 8 pm.
Sunday- July 21st: Weston County Arts Council Music in the Park- Saddle Tramps beginning at 6 pm.
